Charlotte Harbor Fishing Report February 24, 2020

Fishing Conditions: Pretty good conditions this week. Water quality and clarity will be excellent throughout Pine Island Sound and Gasparilla. Lots of moving water and falling tides will keep the active all morning.

My tips of the week: With dropping tides the fish will be coming out of the mangroves and cruising the sand and grass inside the bars.

The snook were cruising the sands along the mangroves just the same though. These weak cold fronts don't always shut the bite down. The ladyfish were eating anything thrown to them also.

July Shallow Water Kennebec Striped Bass on Fly

Some great shots of Paul Skydell and Mike Wolfson fly fishing the shallows of the Kennebec for striped bass. The video ends with Paul getting a very nice one on a 7wt. using 10# tippet.
