Windy Morning Striped Bass Fishing on the Kennebec

Despite 18kt SSE winds and ripping out going tide the Coopers Get it done.

No light tackle or fly fishing action on this trip but Carolina rigged live eels did the trick. Several ledges in the lower 15 miles of the Kennebec River are stacked with striped bass right now. Warmer water temps have reduces surface feeds and shortened the bite from what we saw a few weeks ago. But there's plenty of fish to be caught with the right timing and strategy. Hint - we got these fish between 5 and 6am.
