Karl Gebhardt from the West Coast with a very welcomed August shallow water striper Don Monroe and hid dad joined Capt. Dave on August 1st. Don landed this wicked nice 30" striper on a live eel! Joe Herbert and his son-in-law Tom had some early morning fly action on August 2nd.
     

  Steve and Quentin Ransohoff from Las Angeles spend some quality time on the Kennebec while visiting Maine. We happened to hit a slow morning on this day, the fish were holding deep and not feeding. We managed to get a few to the boat just the same..  

 

Dad, Mom, Madison and Braden enjoys a morning on the Kennebec with Capt. Dave. The stripers are finally settling into there mid summer haunts. Albeit in deep water, they are eating eels and bucktails with regularity. As always, fish deep and slow this time of year... The soft shell lobster are crawling too!

 

 

Sean, Carol and Mike caught a bunch of stripers on eels and bloodworms then helped Capt. Dave haul check and bait his lobster traps. We got 4 lobsters 3 were keepers.

David Hattery and his daughter From Seattle, WA with a couple nice stripers caught in deepwater on Monday July 10th.   7-14-07 Glenn Bennett and his daughter with a nice striper caught in 18' of water on a live eel.
     

6-28-07 Fred Bogue, Bill & Shawn Doherty from New Jersey, had a great trip today. They caught and released a boat load of striped bass including some 24"-27"ers. This was Shawn's first striper outing with dad and "uncle" Fred. He caught his first striper and had his first bluefish right to the side of the boat when it spit the hook! By the smiles on everyone's faces I think this will not be Shawn's last fishing trip with dad and uncle Fred!  

The fish were eating small herring flies and small white jigs while busting bait on the surface in 3'-8' of water! Fun stuff for everyone including Capt. Dave!

 

 

     

Tom & Naomi Nicoll from upper New York State Join Capt. Dave for their 13th consecutive year! Both fly and spinning gear produced well this cool June morning   Capt. Dave's new friend Anna lets the captain hold her fish for this photo.
