Dr. Jim McCully and Freddy Bogue joined Capt Dave on the Obsession II last September to participate in this benefit fly fishing catch and release tournament. Freddy caught the biggest striper of the tourney and in doing so landed bragging rights and some wicked cool plaques for the team. The Kennebec Pro-Am raised over $5,000 for the specific purpose of purchasing striped bass radio tags. The tags will be used in a Me. Dept. of Marine Resources research project on Kennebec River striped bass - the most northern native reproducing population of striped bass in America. This Year's Pro-Am will be held on Sept 14th & 15th.
