One thing that didn't get mentioned in the 2006 review was that we found some interesting and productive fishing in portions of the Kennebec watershed that we've never fished before. So if you're a returning client from past years, don't be surprised if we make plans to go places that you've never seen before... Sorry, not going to say any more than that here in the OSC Newsletter - we don't want to let any secrets out. Also, you'll be seeing the 3rd generation of the Obsession Eel Fly this summer. Nope, they're not for sale and you won't find any

Obsession Charters Goes on the Road
If you have a club, Assn. or group that would like to see and hear about the incredible fishery on the Kennebec River, Capt. Dave is willing to come and talk to you. He has prepared a PowerPoint and Windows Media presentation that runs about 30-40 minutes plus a Q & A session following. Capt. Dave will do the presentation for free but if you could help out with lodging and gas money it would be greatly appreciated. ~ FMI: Contact Dave at 207 442- 8581 0r by e-mail at: dave@obsessioncharters.com

Last year we started a new section of the obsession charters website - The Obsession FLOG (or web log). It is now the most popular page of the site! The FLOG features fishing information and news, funny happenings on the water, submissions from our clients & friends, and lots of great fish pictures!
The FLOG is updated weekly so check it out often. If you have a submission you would like posted simply send it to us in an e-mail and we'll post it.
New for this year is an expanded library of short Windows Media videos. And again - if you have any videos (either

out into the Gulf of Maine the fishing action was quite consistent. We caught mostly blue sharks averaging 40 - 100 pounds.
Baby Bluefin tuna fishing proved to be a disappointment last year. This is not due to a lack of "footballs" as we call them. It was due to weather, wind and seas. It seemed that every time we tried to get out into the Gulf of Maine to look for schools of footballs busting on the surface we were stopped by Mother Nature. We'll get 'em this coming season. ~
