Weathered Topsides and Decks – Problem Solved

For those of you who have an older boat (or an ancient one as I do) here's a product you might want to try – Woody Wax.

My 1993 Hewes Redfisher is showing her age, the hull has only a small amount of oxidation so a deep cleaning wax twice a year shines her up just fine. But the ol' girl's nonskid topside has become faded and porous to the point that it is hard to keep clean.

Cleanup after a day of guiding is now a breeze. Fish blood and bird poop washes away with a hose and a brush stroke.

Weathered Topsides and Decks – Problem Solved
Woody Wax is specifically made for decks and nonskid. The application of this product is really weird but follow the directions on the bottle. Wash the boat and rinse it. While it is still wet apply Woody Wax with a soft brush and then let all the water evaporate. Next thoroughly rinse the boat again with water and wipe the boat dry with a soft towel. Once dry your decks will look great and not slippery underfoot. The wax seals the fiberglass from stains and grime for about 2 months. It brings back the color of vinyl rub rails, conditions and protects seat cushions and brightens up your boat's anodized aluminum parts too.

I'm not on any type of pro deal with Woody Wax, just like to share great products when I come across them. And thanks to my longtime friend and client John Albin from Key Colony Beach for turning me on to Woody Wax a few years back.
